Parallel Guides : Calibrating

Hi,

I am trying to calibrate the parallel guides.  I understand that there are two areas on them to allow for some movement.  I can get them calibrated; however, when I then try to put them on the guide rail, they won't fit.

When I try to calibrate them in place on the guide rails, there is no movement.  I am off by about 4 mm.  I have removed the brass screws which seem to go in towards the guide rail, thinking this might help; however, it did not.

Does anyone have any advice for me.

Hello,

I just realized I wasn't putting the parallel guide on the fence properly.  I wondered why it was so difficult to get it on, and why the brass screws were not engaging the guide rail.

I admit I am the biggest moron on FOG.

The parallel guides are now perfectly calibrated.

I had the opportunity to meet him a few months ago. Real nice guy

He wouldnt make the sound effects for me though
