They have really made me angry the other Day the Pikies!   I am currently doing my house up.  It looks like a building site but this area has some my Pikies coming round   shouting RAG N BONE! well any way I try and reuse as much as I can or give it to the skip man (METAL)  So they think I hide it from them or something but the neighbours tell me they come round and look around the property all the time.

One day I took the old sink out and left it right round the back behind a wall thinkin I could use it on my next house as a portable kitchen maybe cus at the moment this house cant be lived in cus it is empty. So I was going to make a temporary sink and toilet for the my next project.

So went to my house fallowing day and my neighbour came to me and said he saw them smashing something up I told them to go away and they picked what every it was up and went I said ofcorse thank you very much  went round the back and the $@*@$%? took my sink!!!!!!!!!

Gypsy type living the term can now be applied to new age travelers.

I am thinking it is a derogatory term used for people that do crap as in the aforementioned post, but they may not necessarily be gypsies.

I had a beautiful bay window in my yard once. Someone asked if they could have it. I said  no I am installing it in my kitchen. The next day I came home and it was gone. I just called the guy an A hole and thief.

Pikies, Gypsies, People with no  Solid home (caravans!) People who are a law to them selfs. People who interbreed because they tell their kids not the go out with outside people (Me and you). They go round taking scrap all day and do jobs for cheap but then threaten you for more money. They try and convince people they are good people but its proven when Gypsies come in your area crime goes up 10x. They will camp anywhere! They are even now going onto peoples land or no mans land and building a complex for them selves fences and solid walls for their caravans. They mainly come from Ireland because of our laws being so soft they have all come over here. 

They are dangerous people if you cross them.

Their was a documentary on TV about a month ago I think about Gypsies and they was trying to say on camera how nice people they are. We people make it difficult for them.  The kids dreams are to get married at young age  like 16yrs any older than 20 and they feel its to late to get married and have the biggest possible dress on.  One girl had a dress sooooooo big it weight soo much it was digging into her hips so hard she is scared for life but she didnt want to take it of because she wanted the biggest possible dress.

But we are not the only country in Europe that has to deal with , shall we say, "itinerant folks". Just some countries deal with it in better ways and some in quite unacceptable ways. The UK is somewhere in the middle, prevaricating as usual.  [embarassed]

We are building a 6 bed detached property on a posh estate nice quiet area and they have been in already as soon as the dormer roofs were leaded they tried ripping it off but luckily it was too hard to remove so they just stole a couple of rolls of lead, bastards. You can see why they do it we had a small pallet of lead delivered and I asked the roofer how much it was and it was around GBP 2500  [eek] [eek] [eek] bloody expensive stuff.

last i weighed in was ?1 per kg scrap, made my caravan handle really badly with all that in
