I've seen some great shop-made MFT's and am wondering where you get the component parts like the perimeter rails. I'm new to the site and apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question.
You can order anything from any dealer. Do a search for jumbo MFT's and the part number for the rails will be in there somewhere, as well as all the other stuff you need.
As Eli said, you can buy the parts from Festool or any Festool dealer. However, be aware that the current models of the MFT are being discontinued, and that the replacement is not yet available. You've brought up I a topic that I did last month and it's been kicked around quite a bit... a very popular idea!
Eli I think was the one who told me to search jumbo to find a lot of threads on this topic. One of the things I discovered was sources for T Slot aluminum frames. The right frame type might help you find your solution.
