Just would like to give a shout out to Pau-Marcel.  He turned my Domino stupidity to an aha moment  Those of us who have been around the FOG for a while are well aware of Paul's expertise.  For those new comers here it would do you well to visit and study his videos at http://www.halfinchshy.com

Shane - I trust that you are grateful for Paul-Marcel's contribution to Festool.

Love Paul's videos! He's bright and fun.  Paul's demonstration on calibrating the Domino was very helpful.

I love Paul Marcel's videos, his blog, and his insight and input here.  [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

Absolutely. And, I hope that I've made that very clear to him over the years. PM and I email fairly regularly and I consider him a friend. Still hoping to connect with him in person one of these days. I'm bummed that he has been wrapped up with work so much that he hasn't been able to create content, which is one of his many talents.

We're very fortunate to have PM and many others like him, too many to name them all, that selflessly share their knowledge, expertise, talents, projects, and more with others.

Shane

Good thread! I have watched tons of his videos before and after purchasing my Festools. His videos helped inform me as what to purchase and then inform me on good tips and operating tricks. Thanks Paul!

-whew- saw my name as a thread title and thought, "what did I do now!?" haha!

Thanks for the compliments from all of you.  Work went into a tailspin since the beginning of the year so only marginally went to the shop (after all, the beer fridge is located there  [tongue]).  Things are easing up so I hope to get my pending projects wrapped up and some other how-to videos, like one specifically on what Len asked me about in email.

That means I have to go dig up the awesome shirt from the Domino crib-sheet series!  If you listen carefully, you can hear it it is so loud :)

P.S., thanks, too, to the FOGgers and readers who wrote me wondering if I got hit by a zamboni cuz of the disappearance.

Paul Marcel has a real job!!  I thought he was exclusively doing videos, his blog and trying to put the biscuit in the basket!!

HaHa, I Blame him for the lack of money in my savings....AND! Peter Parfitt [poke]

Seriously though, they do make some really great videos!

Couldn't agree more...and it only took me four years to realize that Marcel is not his last name, but part of his first!  [embarassed]

+1

I wouldn't have bought my Domino without the confidence PM gave me through his videos.

Very helpful and entertaining videos (don't forget the website) that assisted me in my own Festool purchases.

I can only assume (hope) that all those Festools in the background of PM's videos are supplied gratis, given the sales that they have generated.

Same could be said for Peter Parfitt as well.

Both offer useable real world advice with the same enthusiasm that most of us have ourselves.

Yup thanks Paul. I have watched your videos for a quite a while and you have been instrumental in my tool account going to zero every month :)

Go Bruins!!!!!

I'd like to chime in as well. I've been woodworking for years and had always managed to make my projects a bit more challenging than they needed to be. When I discovered Festool, it was Paul Marcel who inspired me and taught the value of the 'system'. You've helped inspire a woodworker from a sawdust creator and really given me passion for my projects.  Thank you, Paul.

Paul website, with all of his videos, is my go to website for many projects or tool reviews. He has a knack to make it very understandable and open your mind to the endless possibilities of the domino. I would love to see a review of the CMS as he would come up with some ideas on how to use it in creative ways.

I am also envious of the open garage door in winter when it's pouring here. On the other hand we have more micro brews in one city block in Portland then he has in his state, I guess it balances out.

Thank again for sharing your knowledge
