Gonna purchase a CT36

Does it come with a 36mm hose or 27

Part of the reason for buying the CT at the moment is I'm gonna buy a larger hose for my Kapex and this way i would get a 36 hose to chop.

I already have a 27 and 36 so I'm looking for another 36 to cut,

All CTs come with the 27mm hose standard, with the exception of the CT 36 AutoClean, which as a specially designed 36mm hose for the Planex.

Your dealer may be willing to swap the hose for the difference in cost. Otherwise, the Universal Cleaning Set is a good way to get the larger hose. For just a little more than the hose by itself, you get the accessories and Systainer.

WTF are we supposed to do with the piles of 27mm hoses we all end up with ;)

Can i use the autoclean for anything like sanding, my TS, router table blah blah..?

It really is killing me that i have a 36 hose now that i purchased and am going to chop it and then have to either buy a $95 hose to cut or buy a cleaning set and spend even more $$$ that i really shouldn't be spending...

Im gonna buy a 36 and a RO90, all the paper a couple sets of dogs and a couple woodpeckers pieces. Next week I'm gonna buy the Domino XL kit plus all the aftermarket add on for plywood and using it to cut smaller mortises like the 500..

Killing me to buy another hose but i am getting another CT so I can leave my midi hooked to the Kapex

Some dealers, including some here on the FOG, sell short 36mm hoses. So you may not need to cut one up unnecessarily.

The CTs come with a 27mm hose standard because it works with all of the tools. That's the reasoning. Like I said, you may find that you preferred dealer is willing to swap the hose out. I'd suggest asking.

If you reach out to Ken at Tooltown, the sell pre cut 36mm hoses for the Kapex.  If you put Tooltown in the member search, you should find him.

Awesome thanks guys ill ask..

I am gonna go with ToolNut as my last purchase of the Kapex, CMS and MFK worked out great. Well almost a couple things were damaged but it was not ToolNuts fault and they dealt with it asap no bitching or run around.

Plus being in Boston and them in NY i got the order 24hrs after i placed it. I was gonna place this order right now to assure i get it tuesday and before the holiday as i need the sander for a project that i need to do over the holiday weekend..

Problems problems what to do. Wait and ask about the hose or place the order and assure delivery?

Tooltown is in Paramus, NJ.  I would order the sander and work with the hoses, but then order the short hose, instead of cutting up the one you have.

Anyone have a link to the cut hoses for the Kapex or idea of actual cost?

Go Patriots seven and counting!

After listening to all the comments, plus some pm's and emails, it seems like 1.75 meters is the optimal hose length.

We plan on having these available for general sale at $90.

But for a special FOG only introduction, we are offering these at $80 with shipping included through May 31.

All the parts are in shop, and we will be shipping them out starting by the end of week.

Please call us directly at 800-516-8665 and ask for Ken to order.

Ken

This what I found by doing a search, I would give Ken a call.  Good guys to deal with.

Wooden Sky :

Thank you thats nice of you to do.

Gonna have to call and just ask because you can get a 36mm non antistatic hose for $90 so it dies not really ad up to me.

Plus my local Rockler is have a 30% off of accessories get rid of their stock sale and they have  a 36mm x 11 some odd foot hose. Its actually where i got the 36mm hose i have. I think its $155 retail plus 30% off plus 6.25% sales tax. Still a lot of money to chop a hoseM

No problem, glad to help.  I know the one I mentioned is the anti static.  I could see that if you cut, you could have 2 custom lengths, just may need to get the hose ends.

Right now yes i have a 11.5 ft 36mm antistatic hose on my Kapex that i purchased mostly to use with my TS75 that i purchased prior to my Kapex.

I also have the 27mm hose that came with my Midi.

Im lame and don't want a orange hose on my saw. Green or silver for me, black would also be fine. I have piles of orange Rigid hoses i could use if i was ok with orange. So stupid i am...

Wait till you all see my mahogany, teak, birdseye miter station i am building. Nio pics till its done. Then you'll get how any and redidulous i am..
