Hi i have just purchased a planex and being a decorator its my holy grail, what i need to no is will it be compatable with my CT 22, the big one. ? as at the moment its all i have  [sad], if anybody could give me any details ,data whatever that would be great, thanks

First,  [welcome] to the FOG.

Unfortunately there are only a few Planex on this side of the ocean, so most information will have to come from our members on your side of the pond.

[welcome] to the fog. suction wise it would work, capacity wise it depends on the area. maybe get a ct48 or a cyalone seperator

I did not fully get original post. But if I understand it you saying that your CT-22 is not compatible with Planex. Planex has 27/36mm dust port, so 27mm hose (standard with CT-22) goes inside dust ports. 36mm hoses go over dust port.

It can probably be used if you have the correct hose, but for large amounts of plaster dust you probably need a hoover with the auto bag clean feature. It creates a lot of fine dust and once the bag clogs suction will be reduced and motor strain sets in.

Clogged filter bags will likely be the issue with the CT22.  The newer self cleaning type filter bags of the newer vacs will work well with the Planex.  I can't there being any issue with the hose.

I'm not sure a cyclone will work well with the fine dust.

Good luck and welcome to the FOG!

Not sure if the hose is supplied with the hoover or the planex as part of the kit as I have the whole kit. But the hose has an unusual end which is gripped by a cup on the planes handle. A normal hose would not easily stay connected.

Have the planed and the original dedicated vac. They now have especial self cleaning ct vac. I have used it with the ct mini for small jobs. The problem is that the bags clog very quickly. If you plan to use it a lot you need a dedicated vac.

Richard

Actually... self cleaning bags will not be enough. The solution is the AutoClean CTs (AC) which are able to prevent the bags from being clogged by the fine dust.
