Planning router table: ELU + Jessem Rout-R-Lift Prestige?

I'm thinking about getting a Jessem router table. I have an unused Elu 3337-9, and thinking about getting the Jessem Rout-R-Lift Prestige which has mounting holes for the Elu.

I have no real experience with a router table, so could use some advice on the functional utility of my proposed setup vs. using another lift and a plain router motor. I do have a Bosch 1617 EVS I could use.

I see that the Rout-R-Lift does not allow bit changes from above the table; being an old geezer with a bad back that could be the deal breaker.

You could probably enable bit changes above the table using a collet extension?

I think the Elu is the same as Dewalt 625.

If that’s the case then you should be able to operate the spindle lock from above the table with a cranked wrench, but if not a collet extender will allow bit changes above the table with two wrenches.

Take a look at the Router Raizer. I have an Elu 3338 in my router table with the Router Raizer. Not quite as good as the Jessem but it works and costs less.

It really is great router Swiss made. My issue has been dust collection when used as a regular router. Not an issue in the router table with a Rockler box.

That Musclechuck looks really good Derek. Hadn’t heard of it before - thanks for the tip.

Hey, mate, thanks for the photos and ideas! You've given me lots of encouragement.

I've ordered the Musclechuck, in fact, I ordered one for the Elu in the router table, and one for the OF 1400.
Unfortunately the Jessem Rout-R-Lift Prestige is backordered right now. I've asked about availability time.
