Pliable, lay flat hose?

Hello, I really do hate the hose that came with with my CT22 vacuum. What I'm looking for is a pliable, lay flat hose that doesn't automatically coil up when it's dropped on the floor. Has anyone found a 3rd party replacement hose that will lay flat in a straight line when placed on a flat surface?

If, by 'lay flat' you mean what I think it means (i.e. the hose itself flattens) then that's not possible for a vacuum. Lay-flat hoses do not work with negative pressure as the vacuum would cause the hose to collapse & that would block the airflow.

Poor explanation on my part. I'm looking for a hose that doesn't automatically coil up when it's dropped on the ground. In other words, if I choose to lay it on some surface in a straight line, it will stay as placed.

Give it some time, the hose will relax eventually.

If it really bugs you, run a hair dryer through the hose for 15 minutes or so, then hang it over a door to cool.  End of problem.

Like the urethane air hose, vinyl garden hose, et al...just drag mine out and lay it in the sun to relax...all better. I feel your pain though. First time out'a the box was like being attacked by an anaconda every
time I walked past.
