Plugit Adapter

Hello!
I have a newer CT extractor and I generally leave the hose connected with a power cord wrapped around it. This works for all of my tools - except one. I bought an older OF1400 which has a different style of power connector. Is there an adapter or a way to convert an older style tool to the newer connector so that I do not have to use a separate cable? Thanks and apologies if this has been asked before.

Do you have a picture of the socket?  What's the manufacture month/year of the tool?

The parts fiche don't show any difference in the connector part other than a recent update tool number.  I wonder if someone swapped it out.

Hi, welcome to the forum,just a guess this is the problem 16ga. will fit all tool the upper 18 ga. will not. guy

I used my 16ga and left it on the boom arm. That way it worked on any tool.

Just always use your 16ga. cord and you'll have no issues. The only other thing you need to know from the video is that a "sar" is actually a saw. Hope that helps.

To clear things for Europeans:
There’s only one PlugIt here. UK who also have 110V may be an exception to this.

The cable that came with your 1400 will fit all your other tools, but the ones from your other tools won't fit the 1400. The 1400 cord has heavier gauge wire...needed for the 1400, but not for smaller motored tools. The plugs are designed so the heavier wire will fit everything, but the smaller wire won't fit the larger motor tools.

Bottom line, tape the 1400 cord to your vac hose and you're golden for everything.

That's exactly what I do. I have all of the other cables stored in a drawer as back-ups, many have never been used. They go straight to the drawer at the time I bought the tool. I learned this by accident year ago, when I took a few tools to a job site and had the wrong cable with me. Hard lesson about a difference that I didn't know existed.
