Plumber help! - C18

PDC is huge.

It uses Festool's proprietary 4-speed gearbox, which makes it quite a bit larger than most the drills out there today.

That said, if you want the 3800 rpm, you'll probably not find it anywhere else (except Fein, who shares the gearbox).

With the elbow attachment I guess the tight spots are covered?

In between joist etc...

I have not used any newer Milwaukees for many moons and have not tried the Festoys any larger than the CD 12.  My son is using his Milwaukee cordless impacts (He has three. He fully equips each of his service trucks) for many different projects.  He uses them around the equipment yard for changing tires.  That means loosening and then tightening the lug nuts on his tractor/loader/backhoes and his tri axle trucks.  He tells me he has tried other cordless impacts and none will do the job the Milwukees does.

I still have an old plumbers corded Hole Hawg with right angle drive that can just about wind me off my feet if I get too rambunctious, but I almost never need anything bigger that 12V.

I use Milwaukee fuel 18v hammer drill in conjunction with the Milwaukee fuel 18v hole hawg on the job site.  The Milwaukee big hawg bits work great for rough cutting joists and studs.  I mean rough cutting because if you are looking for a real clean cut use a hole saw bit because the arbor on the big hawgs walk a little till they seat in the hole.  When drilling cabinets I use my spade bits or hole saws.  I used to use auger bits, self feed bits back in the days, but you just can't beat the stuff that is out today and they do not beat up your equipment like the old school bits.

I would imagine a pdc would get the job done too with the 90 degree angle chuck, in just about any situation, but I can't imagine spending big money on that drill when you can get the tools complete listed above for the cost of a pdc alone.  I have beat the snot out of my 18v fuel it just keeps going.  I have picked up back up bare drills brand new n eBay for $89.00 and have not needed one yet to replace mine

I love festool drills for my woodworking I have a csx and a t15.
