Plywood coffee table

Wow great job and great post. I remember there was a time when a plywood project meant easy. Thanks for sharing your great discoveries.

That is a really neat coffee table and not at all what I expected from the title.

I don't want to get back into the negative copyright topic but I will because I have good news.  I googled the topic and found a thread on fine woodworking where an intellectual property atourney says that you can copyright a picture of your project but that does not prevent somebody from using the picture of your project to make a copy.  To prevent the copy, you would have to patent the project which is much more difficult and costly.  So it is legally OK to make projects from pictures.  His comments were to a group doing it commercially but I still would not do that without specific legal advice but for our own use or a gift, I am pretty sure we are OK.

There's a mob in SF Cali that make guitars out of old skateboards (ply) .. I reckon you'd love them.

That may have cost me money. That single P-90 model is almost not unhaveable.

Thank you all for the nice comments, I'm pretty happy myself with the result.
Also my friend was really happy when I gave it to him.
It looks better at his house than it did at mine anyway, so all good.

I made some overly, extra difficult, stupid connecting thing which I'm not sure even worked.
But in the end the legs were rocksolid under the tabel and that was the general idea :-)
Anyways, let the pictures do the talking

[member=27355]NL-mikkla[/member] that is beautiful.  What did you use to fill the voids in ply?  Also what finish.  Thank you for posting.  Bill

Luckily there weren't as much voids as you would expect.
I also bought a fairly high grade ply so there were not suppost to be voids in the first place.
I selected the best sides of the rings and used the best ones on the surface.

The finish several layers of panzer heavy duty wear proof furniture varnish.
I don't know the UK word, but it is the opposite of high gloss :-)
