I think your are talking about "betonplex"? As far as I know that is translated to phenolic coated plywood or phenolic plywood for short.

Yes, betonplex

If it is the really good stuff that is pretty much back to normal. A few months ago I paid about $100 for 6mm 5 x 5.

Looking at the invoice, it says BB/BB (patches on both sides).

I don't think I've ever seen B/BB at my local dealer.

Prices for 2500x1250x18mm A/B beech and birch plywood are still high in my area.  A sheet of beech is €244.89 (about $265.87 USD) and a sheet of birch is €266.30 (about $290.18 USD), with a maximum purchase of ten sheets per customer.

The best price I've seen at the big box stores for a 2500x1250x18mm sheet of birch plywood is €134.90 (about $147.00 USD), but the grade is BB/WG (suitable for construction applications).

Weird. First one I look up is 90 euros, for construction plywood 2440x1220x18

Usually Germany is cheaper with just about everything.

Local stock is pretty much non existent though  [huh]

Big box stores don't even list the wood type or finish type  [sad]

52 x lengths kiln-dried European oak, picked up from the sawmill today. 2m long x 145mm wide x 21mm thick (6” x 1” nominal) for some traditional ledged & braced cottage doors.

£2080 - that’s just over $2500 US.

[eek]

Just curious...

So what are you paying for plywood these days?

My local Menards prices are up about 50% or so.

Has anyone been forced to cancel or delay jobs do to the hefty prices?

Any thoughts if prices will drop within the next year?

I just bought a 5X5 sheet of 3/4" Baltic Birch at Woodworkers Source and paid $149 - shocking

Might be worth shopping around. Lumber yards around here are closer to $100.

Forget plywood..... $50 bucks for a cedar fence post?!?!?  [eek]

Guess it pays to be old and have most of the stuff we'll need to make it through the rest of our lives. I do miss the before-times.
