Thought I would share this. As I have 32 panels to cut down to 23 1/4" wide I thought I would make some cheap, but effective parallel guides. I do have the Festool ones but don't like using them as the are cumbersome. I took 2-24" incra tracks, 2 tiolet bowl screws, 2 wing nuts and a bit of scrap plywood for the stops and voila, cheap guides. I have the tape setup so when the stop is at 8" it equates to 23 1/4" wide, 9" mark is 22 1/4" and so on. I didn't want to mess with the tape right now, but will after this project. As I have them clamp it also acts a support for the fence.
Cheers,
JC

Necessity is the mother of invention and its younger, slightly less intelligent but hey maybe he'll make it as an artist sibling, re-invention.  [tongue]

Quick and dirty but effective, me likes.

Fits with the whole KISS method of life.  Great idea. May have to borrow this
