Post Here about the New Version (Xenforo) of the FOG

One suggestion for the light version, if I may - look at the header bar. The selected title is black on white and all the unselected titles are dark gray on black. Is it possible to change the unselected title color to a lighter gray on black for better visibility?

Yes, the Festool team has been working behinds the scenes on suggestions where they could - some requested alterations might not be possible. If you notice - join dates and messages (posts) just popped up too.

Pinned thread separator, join dates, getting color scheme figured out, etc. Team working on this transition is doing a nice job and definitely making progress!

Thanks for working to bring us all a good experience.

Just an observation...the traffic seems to be lighter than usual...that's an indicator.

And is anyone else having a difficult time trying to track the various messages?

There seems to be no one place to go to, to retrieve the latest messages and message updates. I'll click on posts and sometimes I go to the first post and sometimes I go to the last post. Things are still kind of squirrelly and that means I back-off and pay more attention to getting things done as opposed to a conversation. We all have bigger fish to fry. :)

What I found after the migration was that my "last active" date and/or "last read" tracker was only accurate back to about a week before the work started on the migration. So a number of "unread" threads took me back pretty far in the thread, while others took me to the latest message.

On the old forum as well as this one, when someone resurrects an ancient thread from the grave, the software rather consistently takes me to the first post in the thread, because it's usually in a thread that I've never read before in my life (original post in 2015 but most recent reply in 2019 until the bump, that sort of thing).

Once I "caught up" on threads from the transition, I clicked on "mark all read" just to clear out the unread cache and now I just look for bold subject headers and thread headers to guide my browsing.

Somewhat related to traffic volume, the weather is nicer so I spend a little less time on here, but the amount of time I spend is also reduced because the software is so performant that it takes me probably half as long to read the same amount of material as I did before the move. YMMV, of course.

I'm sure it's been noted, but the notice msg about not being able to reply to an ad in the Classifieds completely blocks the forum page on my phone and mostly blocks it on my notebook. I'm wondering if that notice can't be attached to an attempt to reply? (Actually, I think that was the way it worked in the old UI.) No biggie, but I miss being able to peruse the classified section when I should be working.

I see what you mean here, we'll look and see what might be able to be done. Thanks for the heads up!

I cannot find a reason for it, but I feel less engaged with the new format than I had in the past.

I look over the new posts, but I seem to make fewer replies.

Not a complaint. An observation.
