Post Here about the New Version (Xenforo) of the FOG

Maybe have a limit of one newly initiated thread per 24 hours until a certain number of non-reported posts have been made? That would enable new members to post a question and then reply to the replies, but not post a second new thread right away.

I spent a lot of time, especially with the time limit in between actions in place, reporting a lot of posts lately. …

Kind regards,
Oliver
I report them when I see them as well. However, you only have to report one post to alert the Staff of the new spam account. XenForo has a built-in Spam Cleaner function that allows the Staff to purge all content by a spammer with a few mouse clicks. It doesn't matter how many spam threads there are, or where they are, they will all be purged at the same time.

I don't want push notifications so why is there not an option to get rid of the banner?

I assume you are referencing the banner at the bottom of the screen. If so, click on the "X" at the far right of the bar.

Another bar will appear at the bottom with three choices, which are subdued in the example below. If you never want to see the first banner again, click on "Never ask again" and the banner should disappear.

These examples are from Firefox on a Mac for another way to permanently remove the banner. Other systems and browsers should have similar procedures.

Click on Firefox > Preferences to open a new window with Firefox settings.

Click on Privacy & Security and then click on the Settings button for Notifications. A new box will appear for notification permissions.

If the website of interest is in the new box, click on it to highlight it and then click on "Remove Website" followed by "Save Changes".

To prevent further push notification banners from appearing, go back to the Notification Settings and click on the "Block new requests..." box. Click on "Save Changes".
