Is it me?  Or am I crazy to think these $150+ prices for used Pro 5 sanders are a little unrealistic considering you can get them new for $139?

I saw a local Craigslist ad for a "brand new" Pro 5 for $275 the other day.  I don't have a problem with taking advantage of a sucker.... if that's your M.O.  ....or is it simply that market prices were set at a time of virtually no supply and the current sellers haven't realized the supply shift?

That's a recent development.  The Pro5 was officially discontinued.

Maybe [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] can shed some light on the issue.

My guess is that they got their final pre order allotment and have some xtras lying about.  [unsure]

Just placed mine!  I decided against getting the Pro5 during the first go round, because I didn't have another 125 sander, and so didn't feel like loading up on more sandpaper.  But with the $50 voucher, at worst it's a good investment for resale down the road, and at best I'll have a lighter sander for overhead and finish work.

The ~$250 price is realistic. PRO5 is at least equivalent to the old ETS + $50 voucher. Current stock at Festoolproducts will be gone in no time without making a dent in a broader market.

Is gone, that URL you gave is a 404 error now, meaning the web page no longer exists.
