So I fired up the old blu-ray machine last night and settled in to watch the classic "For A Few Dollars More" and thought, how cool would it be to do a really nice version of the drinks cabinet that secretly held the safe in the El Paso bank they robbed. The set piece in the picture is kinda roughly built, it is just a set, but the design I think could look really cool if time was put into making it. I'm gonna try and find some stills from the movie showcasing it.
For now you can see it briefly at about 1:30 as they drag it out of the bank. Any suggestions for wood and other details? this will be one of those slow burner projects that who knows when I'll be able to start but it would be cool to come up with some drawings for it at least and slowly put it together over the course of 300 years as these things seem to go for me. None the less your suggestions are welcome.
