As the title says, I am looking for a small vacuum to use as a last item clean up.
I have a ct26 and a midi but am looking for something smaller and lighter.

I have been looking hard at the sys-vac.
My question is, what the chance that Festool comes out with one that is battery powered ?
I have 8-10 batteries and have gone almost all cordless .
What’s the thoughts on a cordless vac-sys ?

Festool announces new tools sometime in the beginning of the year? So my understanding is that they have a new battery charger dock and an improved 4amp battery. Smaller and lighter.

I suppose a CT Sys clipped atop the new Powerstation would be overkill...

Hard to beat the Milwaukee backpack vac.
Thanks but I have Festool and Makita for batteries,
Not looking for another battery platform .
The cordless Makita is over $500 and in this case, Festool is cheeper .
Hard to believe but Festool is a deal. Lol

I absolutely love my CT SYS.  It long ago replaced my CT MIDI for clean-up and punch list stuff.  I keep a SYS 1 cleaning set on top, and more often than not, it is the first thing I carry in to a client's house along with blankets.

I rarely take my MIDI out to project sites anymore.  I don't even carry it in my vehicle any longer.

I've had my CT SYS for couple years now whatever its been. Its the clean up vac. The CT22 serves power tools. The Fein turbo II handles the big or nasty clean up. I'm not sure how much easier you want it than a CT SYS. The only bad thing is the hose really doesn't fit well into the top but it is do-able. I usually take the hose off and use the top of the vac for cleaning supplies. A few rags, bottle of windex, bottle of Murphy's whatever is called for.
I'm not a battery guy so a cordless option isn't important to me.

Not zero, but don't hold your breath either.

You never know what Festool has in the pipeline, but chances are its not comming anytime soon.

"Hard to believe but Festool is a deal."

Wasn't your question will FT offer a battery powered vac?

How is the current CT-SYS a 'deal' if it doesn't meet your first criteria of being cordless?

I think I will pick up a sys-vac , I was just wanting a cordless version .
The Makita one takes 2-18v batteries but looks to be the size of a Midi/ mini.
Thanks for the comments,
Charlie
