Just purchased an ETS 125 and an additional Systainer for the sand paper!  Within one week I am going to pull the trigger on getting a Kapex and one of the CT's!  Awesome!  Can't wait to use my Fes-tools!

Thanks Neil!  Yes, The list is in my head in the order of what to buy next.  I just sold my Bosch 12" dual bevel miter saw and an old ShopSmith today - so the $1,100.00 I made will go into the Festool fund - provided my wife does not circumvent that process...

Yes, [welcome] to the FOG!

Sounds like you're off to a great start. Be sure to post pictures of your projects when you can - we LOVE pictures!

its over for you! youre goona be on yt searching reviews on festool products and youll have the theme song stuck in your head lol

A friendly warning!

Festool has an uncanny ability to blur the boundary between need and want in a way that few other brands manage

I speak from fantastic bitter experience

At least you have discovered the FOG. The Festool equivalent of AA

If FOG is the equivalent of AA it's doing a terrible job keeping me from drinking.

Edward,I agree.  The FOG is more like having that little devil on your shoulder that keeps repeating "buy it, you may not need it, the wife may get upset, but it's all good, buy it!!!

I agree until I found the fog I had a carvex and a ts55 18 months and £5000 later....

But only yesterday I was sanding some drywall mud (filler) in my bedroom with my ets150 and midi dc and I had a big smile on my face when I looked around and there wasn't hardly any dust in the air. So it is the gift that keeps on giving.

First, welcome to the FOG!  I disagree with the AA comparison- AA helps you stop drinking- FOG feeds the addiction!  [smile]

Yeah, I remember my first Festool... it was the Domino DF500/CT22 package.  The ETS125 was my second purchase and still one of my favorites.  When you get your CT, make sure to adjust the suction for the sander (I run mine at the slowest), and realize it only has a 2mm stroke and is not for aggressive sanding.

+1 on the pictures!  I have been negligent on posting pics and that is my one New Year's resolution.  I have a nice camera (Nikon D90) but not good with figuring out lighting and other adjustments necessary for a quality picture, but will post anyway in the future.  Who knows, maybe I can get some pointers on photography too?!?!

Best of luck with your purchases!  I'm guessing you'll be needing some sys ports soon!

Gerald

The ETS 125 was my second Festool sander. It is a great sander. so easy to use. I redid my kitchen and bathroom cabinets with it and an RTS 400. You will love it. If you look below you will notice it wasn't my last. When it comes to Festool stuff happens. Welcome to FOG, a lot of folks who are willing and able to help. One word of warning before you know it you might max out your credit card, like I said stuff happens.

This is like getting a taste of cocaine for the first time.  I ended up buying a Festool Syslite this week.  I mean...$175 for a work lamp?  The green stuff is powerful...in more ways than you think.  LOL.  [big grin]

Welcome David. You know that you have to give your bank details to Festool!
It's quicker in the long run.

Welcome to the FOG!! U made a good choice for the first purchase. I love my ets125. The TS55 was my first festool. Awesome saw. It's a real game changer. Sounds like u have a little nest egg to buy a few things! Have fun with it!

Welcome to the FOG, sir.

I remember when I bought my first Festool, the barrel grip Carvex. I said I wouldn't buy another Festool because of the price but then I bought the CXS kit. Now, I've long since accepted the fact I will continue to buy the green stuff, which is evident by the tracking number on my incoming RO 125. Gotta enjoy every second of it.

Nahhhh!  AA is for QUITTERS!  FOG is for unrepentant ADDICTS!

I can't believe that when I wake up in the morning, the first mouse click on my computer isn't to see the news, but rather the UNREAD button on FOG! [unsure]  We are Sooooo sick! [tongue]

Cheers, and welcome,

Frank

I did a tool inventory yesterday. Photographed every tool and serial number plate. To then store in the "cloud" if I'm ever burgled. I was astonished to add up the festool replacement value. I've bought on average a new festool once a year for over a decade. It's a good way to build it up as a hobbiest
