Purchasing Used Fuji Q4 - What to ask?

Hey guys.  Looking at purchasing a 2 year old Fuji Q4 unit from someone locally.  It has the T-75G gun and the 6' whip, along with normally included accessories.  The owner bought it in December of 2014 to spray a big floor to ceiling built in, and hasn't used it since completing the project in the same month as the purchase.  I haven't sprayed previously, and want to know what to check out when I go to look the unit over.  Any concern with it sitting for 1.5 years unused?  How should I test it (just spray some water through?) and what questions would you ask?

Thanks in advance.  Scott

Turn on the turbine and listen for sounds other than rushing air. If all you hear is rushing air the turbine should mer good.

Plug the gun into the hose, the turbine should change pitch and there should be no air leaking from the gun anywhere.

Put some water in the cup, turn the gun upside down, you'll probably find a leak at the cap. Cleaning and a new cap seal should solve the issue.

Flip the gun over, pull the trigger, the knob on the left front controls pattern, tight to wide, knob on back controls fluid volume. Operate them both to make sure they work. Volume may be hard to tell with just water.

There should be no concern to leaving it unused.

Since you have never sprayed it won't do you any good to spray anything.
In addition to Tom's comments above, I would check all the adjustment knobs, the gun trigger and make sure they all move freely. The fan adjustment knob should be firm but turn easily. Take the needle out and check to see if the spring is there and if the needle is straight and not bent, and if there is any wear on on the shaft. You might see a slight marking on the needle where the gasket holds it near the nozzle. This is normal.
All parts can be replaced and a user manual is available online.
Good luck.

Check the filter on the turbine to see how dusty it is. It shouldn't be very dusty at all given the a

Thanks for the advice guys.  I really appreciate it.  I'm checking it out on Friday.  The seller is asking $590 and with the list being $1,039 it seems like a fair deal.  Would you agree?

Yes, as long as it's not damaged in some way should be a good.
