This is still very much a work-in-progress, but I'm pleasantly surprised how nice a contrast purple heart makes for a chess board against a maple (if I remember correctly). I'm debating whether I should resaw it to make TWO boards after I glue up the pieces. Will probably just use a natural finish on this one after sanding/polishing it with the RO90.
