Are you using the pinner outside the workshop or only while in your workshop? If using it only in the workshop, I'm not sure what advantage a cordless nailer offers. There are small compressors, like RollAir, which are very quiet and sufficient to drive a pin nailer. I think the pneumatic nailers are superior but that is a personal opinion; no actual data.
I have a Grex 650 23 Ga. and can do up to 2" pins. I think the shortest is 1/2". I don't use it a lot, but it has never jammed, it's easy to use, and very easy to line up. Recently Grex came out with an edge guide which I believe also works with the 23 Ga. which helps quickly shoot pins when you need to stay along a line. I think it's a great nailer, but then it doesn't get contractor everyday use from me.
Recently Grex came out with a cordless 18 ga brad nailer. It's not exactly what you are looking for but their product quality is high. I would imagine the 12 ga may follow, depending on demand for something like that.
Sorry if you know all of this already. Based on my experience, I'd buy other Grex nailers if I needed one.
