Hi,

I purchased Festool Circle cutterr for PSB 300 last week.

In site picture, a larger knob is seen in center, but there are only steel bar and two small knobs only.

I want to know what items are included in circle cutter PSB 300 exactly.

Thanks.

This is from Festool UK site:

Based on the comparison between this and your pictures, I'd say you were indeed missing the 'pivot' knob. I'd contact the company you purchased it from.

I have the circle cutter and you are missing the bigger knob, a center pivot knob. It is about 1 1/4 inch  in diameter with a 1 3/4 spike. You could substitute the knob with a nail if you want to try the circle cutter or have a rush job that needs to be done.

One recommendation when cutting circles. Make sure to use a blade for curved cuts and not a blade for straight cuts. The straight cut blade will fight the circle cutter and make a lousy circle. A curve cut blade (S75/4 FSG, S105/4 FSG) makes an excellent circle.

Thank you, jonny and Qwas.

Your replis make me happy.

I thought that something was wrong with my circle cutter, however I could cut round with nail substitution.

Ummm..... I have problem to get pivot knob....acetoolonline.com don't reply my mail...

( Maybe acetoolonline.com didn't see any mail )

I've done business with Ace Tool and I have found to be good and honest. Give them a little time to answer. If you hear nothing from them by Friday, send them another e-mail. They might be short on staff due to extended holiday/vacation time, might have lots of email stacked up from holiday schedule, and extra email from holidays sales.

Thanks Qwas.

I think Aceonlinetool is good and honest too.  Their delivery speed is like fast arrow.

I will wait for their answer.

Thank you.

hello hi magic
when you get the knob for the circle cutting attachment, instead of pounding the knob in with a hammer, first drill a 4mm hole  or eq( 0.157 di or 5/32'') then  twist/press the pin in by hand. it will save the knob from getting mashed up.

Thank you Bill.

I just visited your festool website. It's very gorgeous.

When I get circle cutter missing part, I will do as you said.

Have you ever had missing part experience like this?

Thanks.

yes , thou I find it is very rare with festool. they are extremely diligent about things being right, and take these things very seriously. most of the time the excitement of getting something new and the frenzy of getting into the tool, something is misplaced or put with  something else, then found later. When showing someone how to set up and use their new tool I too have forgot to put everything back in the right box, we're all human. making it right is the norm, not an exception.
my webmaster was gracious, she works hard at it ,thanks

Missing parts has happened to me twice.  Missing both boring bits in LR32 hole drilling set and missing the guide bushing adapter for the OF1010.  Nothing to really complain about though because in both instances the ISAs (Uncle Bob in one case, McFeely's in the other) were very quick to send the missing parts.

Thanks everybody for reply.

I like Festool, Because It's powerful and systematical in any situation.

Although I'm a just hobbyist, Festool is most efficient for me.

I am happy to be with you and Festool owners group.

Thanks.
