Hi Festool experts, I am not keen on Festool products but I want to buy a second hand Kapex 120 EB because of the many advanced features. I noticed in the picture the miter angle indicator is made with plastic of black color.  I saw online, most of the saw pictures have the indicator in metal. Why is the plastic thingy there? Please see attached photo.
Thanks.

On my Kapex, the semi-circular angle scale is thin aluminum attached to the base with three screws. The kerf insert is plastic. There is a clear plastic tab that travels with the saw arm. It has a green line etched in it that hovers over the angle scale. The removable angle finder is a combination of plastic and aluminum.

Be sure the base of the saw (across which you would lay the wood) is totally flat. Many are not. Be sure the left and right fences are parallel. Many are not. Be sure you can get a 90 degree cut using one fence at a time.  Be sure there is not grease thrown out by the motor. There are reports of failed motors.  Mine has been flawless for years. Be sure the saw slides smoothly in and out. Look for rust on the rods the saw slides on.
