Questions about DX93

I bought one of these at the reconditioned sale.  Didn't save much money as I had to pay tax, but it looks brand new and I save a bunch of money by getting the old systainer, so I guess it was a good buy.  However there were no instructions; and I have a few questions.

How do you attach the vacuum hose?  Doesn't seem to be an adapter; do you just force the round hose over the oval port?

The text says that the extended base has great dust collection, but mine seems to have none.  Am I supposed to drill out the dust holes?

Does the extended base take the same sandpaper as the regular base?

Is the manual available somewhere?

The extended pad doesn't have holes. No dc with it. As by design.

Sorry, right, I was thinking of the RO 90 extended pad. Brain overload.

Actually, I just checked and I was right. There are holes and there is very thin channels for dust extraction.

I see, there are some channels under the Velcro that feed back.
And yes, the hose does go over the oval, though it isn't elegant.  I actually have a Fein hose end because it was half the price of the Festool; I wonder if the Festool works better for this.
Thanks.

OK, that was odd. I was sure there were no holes in it. Seems I wasn't aware they updated the extended pad for the DX93. Since I got my RO90 the DX hasn't come out of its box anymore.

I think Toller mentioned his pad had no holes either and as his DX is in a classic systainer he probably has the older type like me.

Current design:

Noticed another glitch in the matrix: attaching and showing images doesn't work smoothly yet.

The drop down box with the choices like "attach image as thumbnail" or "attach image as full size" is missing. Had to fill in the correct code manually. As a coder I remember these things, but I'm sure lots of forum members gonna have problems attaching images now.

Also, the attached images are still showing though I used them in my post.

Old systainer, but new pad design.  Best of both worlds!  (I don't use systainers...)
