Raaco - there’s a little bit of Festool in it

Hey Festita, you're lucky to have purchased the newer version of the Bessey clamp as it has a closed bottom and is a smaller package.

The early version produced from 2011 to 2017/2018 had an open bottom and it needed to have the black aluminum 1/2" thick plate attached to hold the screw-in dog.

Hi Cheese, yes, a coincidence or was it just that I spotted this set from Bessey:

It caught my eye, as it was multifunction table ready, even with 2 rail clamps in a systainer MFT..
Plan is to use 20mm holes for the tenon jig I plan for the table saw, so I can utilise these clamps there too - and the fact that they don’t need to be fixed with 4 screws, just one knob and it’s on or off.

They now offer a low profile version too, mine’s the normal ones I believe. I haven’t seen the need for the “low rider” though, yet..  [big grin] But these clamps have been very useful on two occasions were they were used as quick clamping for repetitive work - it was worth half the price of the set just for these two jobs!

I really like the way Bessey set up their Systainer with the SYS-MFT cover, I think Festool should have done that with their clamping set offering. I would have purchased one if they had.

I did think of the same Cheese..
I did recently buy that one you’re showing. Since, you…  [wink] and I have the MFT SYS - I thought a second of migrating the insert over to the MFT SYS.
Then it struck me that there will be no room for the clamps under the lid..

It would have to be modified further; transferring the MFT lid to a higher systainer, then some sort of removable fill to keep the contents not rattling inside when moving about.

It’s perfect to keep the MFT SYS half empty all times…

Yeah that Bessey Systainer is genius. I bought it a few years ago. Not used much yet, but those clamps, yummie.

Also have the Festool #201311 set. But the inlay is kinda trash. I fitted in another set of the horizontal Festool MFT clamps I already have, minus the knobs. Had the inlay been different, four more knobs would have fitted too.
