I have an upcoming project see pic below. I could use some ideas on how best to hinge the doors. The issue I am having is I would prefer if the 3 doors either above or below would flip or slide up/down NOT swing left/right. The reason is to hide some small speakers (left/center/right channel) Its not for an audiophile but would like better sound than typical TV provides but with no grills or visual indicators there is any audio gear behind. When its movie time said fronts would flip or slide up/down. Unit will be all high gloss white with a undetermined wood frame and back.

Will these covers be motorized? If not, the height of the mount would be more of a determinant than anything as far as if you would use the top row or bottom row to hide the speakers, and also to determine whether they should hinge or slide.
That is to say, if the covers aren't motorized, make sure whoever needs to open them can actually reach them where they're mounted, and can move them the way you intend to have them move. Be sure to take into account anything that may be on the floor under the unit that also may affect reach.
I was about to suggest using white speaker grille material instead of high gloss wood in those positions, but that will collect dust and be obvious that it's different pretty quickly. It would eliminate a lot of the engineering, though.
I can picture a mechanism to allow them to slide to the sides. If they hinged up/down, some sort of hinge that would allow them to also swing parallel to the edge rather than splay open, to keep it nice and clean.

One option for speakers is to DIY a set. Check out meniscusaudio. They have a lot of great setups to choose from.
You can build the crossover with their supplied kit, or they will send you an assembled one for extra cost.
Within the specs they provide for cabinet size you have a lot of choices for how to build the box.

How big is this unit expected to be? Your concept drawings give no indication of size.
There is some pretty cool hardware out there from manufacturers like Blum. They have things that pivot and some that lift like a parallelogram, where the door stays vertical. I'm not sure how they would work with curved doors, but there has to be a way.
They are called Aventos, and there are quite a few different models and weight rating ranges for the doors. You have to be careful and very detail oriented when searching this stuff out.

Thanks the TV in the rendering is 80" I dont have the dimensions in front of me right now but its a little under 6' tall Somewhere around 6" (not counting the doors) deep at the ends and 12"ish in the middle (memory) The top/bottom will need to hold any electronics DVD, cable box etc.
I'm familiar with Aventos but I dont think they will work with curved doors. The pivot point will be offset by an inch or two from the left side to the right because of the radius. If it was flat it would be so much simpler but no luck there. As of right now its looking like a soundbar not individual speakers so Im considering making the lower shelf raise and house the soundbar. That seems like the easiest but will require revels where it meets the sides so it can go up/down without rubbing or binding since I dont really want any seems for a separate door in the shelf. Or my other option is making either the 3 doors across the top or bottom as one piece and just making them look like 3 doors and they would raise up/down on some linear bearings. Tthis will allow tight joints around the interior wood veneer section but probably more labor intensive. The only way I see to hinge the doors is from the side.

Thanks Guybo, but I cant hinge left to right (at least for the doors that hide the speaker/speakers) as that would require the doors to be left open during movie/tv watching. If they swung up as with the blum aventos that wouldnt be bad for the top row but I dont think they will work with Radius doors. I can hinge the 2 sides and the 3 that wont hide the speakers those arnt really the issue. Im pretty sure it will have to be one of the two options in my previous post driven off a linear actuator. I will need to go back to the drawing board at some point but I have lots of time on this one and im a little backed up with some other jobs right now.
