Hi guys,

I'm leaning towards Gorilla
epoxy glue or maybe the Loctite 3090.  Which one would you recommend ?

Gorilla is super basic but always a but awkward to apply. The loctite looks great but you "waste" a nozzle each time (and spare nozzles aren't cheap).

Any thoughts? [emoji56]

For wood I recommend West Systems 105.
Different type of harder: 206 slow or 205 fast.
Sold as pack of 1,2 kg.
Also in small packages, like Six10, G-Flex and G/5

I use Gorilla right now and I'm happy with it, but a lot of people I know swear by West Systems and it is what I'll be trying next.

The glue decision would ultimately be dictated on what you were attempting to do.  What is your situation?

Peter

West Systems Epoxy has a System tailored to meet your bonding needs.  I have used their Penetrating Epoxy to repair hairline cracks, Their GFlex epoxy to bond items that need some flexibility and their base system for bonding everything from oily rosewood to redwood.

I use a lot of West System, would strongly suggest if you go that route to get the metering pumps. Makes it simple.

Just a bit off topic (just a bit???) but I'd love to see pictures of your boat...it looks really sweet.

Another vote for West Systems 105.  Yes, be sure to get the pump kit to accurately and easily dispense the parts.

For me, certainly the G-flex from West epoxy. It was advised to by several members of FOG year ago.

I posted a bit of an introduction and some boat pics in the member connections forum. Happy to answer any questions I can regarding the boat.

Can you pull  the bessy backwards  until  something snaps  and post an image of the results?

[member=13058]Kev[/member]  I used west systems in the past.
I think in australia you should try ATL out of QLD.
Get Anthony Basilone. I was looking at their duralam sheets last week...

Anyhow they have similar blends to west systems, and I think easier to get in Au.
I am 1/2 sure I am getting some end grain balsa and a lamello  Zeta P2...

If you are building a boat, you will get to know them well.

I have a project coming up with some balsa ;)

[member=40772]Holmz[/member] not recent seasons .. life got in the way, then there's about 100 episodes I'd need to catch up. Will do one day though as I liked it.
