Just opened up my recon CT MIDI and the corner of the hose garage is broken off.  Just wanted to see if this was acceptable for a recon model?  Maybe I have just been spoiled with my other 5 recons being like new.  Also, I assume it's in working order, just haven't tried it yet and I got home late and didn't want to wake up the family. Thanks guys
Chris

Mine was broken in the exact same spot and was probably damaged in shipping as several pieces were laying in the bottom of the box.  Gave Festool a call yesterday, replacement part shipped the same day and delivery scheduled tomorrow.  Couldn't ask for better service.

Chris,

You posted before I had a chance to respond to your PM. No, it's not typical and was likely damaged in transit, either from a drop or something heavy being stacked on top of the box. At any rate, I've requested that a replacement hose garage be sent. It's just a few screws to swap it out. Sorry for the damage and the inconvenience.

This is not a problem at all Shane, it was a recon, so I'm assuming everything has been used.  It seems to be a moderately used machine anyways.  At 40% off, I won't complain... I'm new to Festool, but have heard rave reviews about the customer service already, and you just backed them all up.  It's great to see companies that stands behind their products and work.  THANKS!!!

As an aside… Id like to lobby for a lip or edge that would reinforce the plastic around the front of the hose garage there. I slightly tapped mine on my tow hitch ( no ball in ) and it shattered.

They sure crack easily. My Mini is a bit older, 2006, but I barely touched it the other day and a piece sprung off.

My CT 26's has a nice crack in it. I guess they are not made to stand on. Some ABS glue works nicely to repair it.

The T-Loc hose garage is a big improvement upon the old one — more space for the hose, and the T-Loc system is more to my liking than the classic Systainer setup (wish I could swap the 16 odd I have). I swapped the old hose garage on my Midi for the new one and although that was not as easy as I'd thought, it was a success.
