Recon Tool is starting today (Cont. US Only)

The packing is ALMOST as good as Bob, Almost is the key word! The last picture is for condition, That was a 20% off tool the white marks on the battery wiped off with some 409 and some water. Now they are to be used by me.

The ti15 4.2 I want to get a c15 as well but 10% off for 3 aHr batts is not worth it for me, I will just buy new.  The cxs is great. It is my second one.

My OF2000 came in today! Wicked quick shipping Bob! Thank you so much. This was am20% off unit and it is a little dusty but looks to be new! No scratches the base is smooth, the chip deflector and vac extension are new! The wrench has no marks on it! Awesome! Can't wait to get my sander, might be to or row as I ordered it Tuesday and my router Monday.

Chris,

Glad you are pleased with the router and thanks for your order, but credit the quick shipping to Festool's office and warehouse.

Got my first set of deliveries today! Planex, CT36AC, TS55REQ. Not to thread-jack Bob, (I'm new and simply selected a different online dealer than yourself) but I don't want to start a whole new thread when several others have already shared their loot!

Tried out the saw and vac. Just grabbed a scrap of plywood, and started using the track and a ruler to square up the sheet. Then experimented with the bevel cuts and whipped this up:

Figure I can slap a coat of paint on it and use it as a magazine holder or something. Nonetheless, this little experiment showed me that the TS 55 does create beautiful glue ready joints, even at 45 degree angles. And the cuts themselves were only made less accurate by user error as I learned how to use this tool. Which really did not take long; a couple hours to set up the tools and make this box.

The CT36AC is really a fantastic machine. Which it better be for the price. So I am glad that I got the big one over with, so that all supplemental vacs can be smaller in size and price. The controls were easy to learn, as was setting up the TS 55 to cycle the vac. Dust collection was excellent.

The Domino 500 should arrive in the next week or two, so I just shot a few brads in to hold it together. Also waiting on a pile of accessories including some sanding pads for the Planex. I've got a number of popcorn ceilings left to scrape, and am so excited to use this tool and the CT rather than spray n scrape that crap! And then of course just making new drywall work that much easier too.

Moral of the story: I have no prior experience with Festool, so I am happy to say that this first experience has been excellent! And I look forward to really getting dirty with these tools in the coming months!

Lets see a picture of that Planex! I think I want one, just don't know if I will use it enough to justify it

Does anyone know if the OF 2000 ever came in a Systainer with insert? If not, would the insert for the OF2200 work?

Yes, I'm almost certain it did way back when, but I was just checking the 2007 catalog and at that time, it was only available in the Basic model (cardboard box/no systainer).

Yes, it did, but the insert is quite different than the one for the 2200.  Will try to post a pic.

OK, a couple more questions then?

1. Is the insert still available? I couldn't find it in EKAT.

2. What size SYS is required for that setup?

3. Would the OF2200 insert work to hold the OF2000/ It's available as a T-LOC, which the OF2000 never was of course.

Thanks in advance for answers!

1.  Sorry, I do not know.
2.  Sys 4 Classic.
3.  I doubt it, as the handle configurations are different.  Also, the OF2000 lays on its side (see pic above); I know my OF1400 stood upright in the systainer but I don't know about the OF2200.

Correct, the insert may or may not be available -  you may want to call Service Monday 800 554 8741, but for sure the 2200 insert would not work - totally different inserts.

I just looked at the insert and there is a part number: 465797.  Hope that helps.

For a sec there I thought your name was pornmark747
I was about to ask, so you wood work and work wood, hahaha

as for the item I ordered, I thought the packaging was pretty bad, but the item works and I was surprised it came with some of the accessories, I wasn't expecting anything but the collet and wrench :) mine was the 10% off.
