Recon tools - the final stretch - 40% off all tools

I must have the worst luck, Every time I see something I want, I quickly call my rep and it is showing on screen, but every time I get the same answer from them, "it's showing -1". I dont get how it is showing available on screen, yet I can't buy it.  This is tough..  On a better note, I got my 3 mini's in yesterday, unreal, it looks like they were never even out of the box.  They were not the t-loc variety, but I don't care about that anyway. 
 
Wow,  just like that my luck changed.  I got a call from them, I got it...  Keep em coming guys.  I need a domino yet.

How is this bad luck, sounds like you were successful!  What the heck are you going to do with 3 mini's?

Dan, while I can't say so definitively, I suspect we won't see any more additions for the day. I think the service team is generally doing one update per day. Subscribe if you haven't already so you don't have to actively watch the list.  [wink]

Thanks, Shane. I figured as much. Seems like the activity has taken place around the same time each day this week. I signed up but unfortunately the email comes after all the listing and vanishing already starts happening. Thanks for the cool deals though. Since the beginning of the recon sale earlier this year, I have purchased 5 items. Unfortunately four of them missed the 40% off. Still a great deal though, and all in excellent condition.
 
I actually called a dealer and had a sander secured.  In the middle of the order I mentioned I was Canadian (billing address) but was shipping to a US address.  He said he couldn't take my order even though it was to be shipped to NY because of the Billing address being Canadian. 
Is that true?

Dealers must ship within their own country.
 
FYI... New tools posted to the recon list.

LOTS OF ITEMS ADDED. This is our safety stock, so there are only 1-2 quantity of most items.

What's saftey stock?  And does that mean you're finished adding new items?
 
Safety stock means that we kept a few of each item to make sure we did not oversell. There will continue to be new products added over the course of the next few weeks.

it looks like it didn't start out HEPA but was later updated (see pic with hepa sticker on boxes) but it isn't clear if the part number changed as a result of the update.
any clarity you can provide may help empty my bank account :)

Welcome to the forum. We cannot guarantee the age of the reconditioned tools. So, I cannot say for sure whether it will have a HEPA filter or not. That said, I suspect that all of the non-HEPA models have long since been sold years ago.

I managed to get a dealer who would let me, and ship to NY so far no cancellation.  I'm getting a ETS150/5.
I tried to get a RO150 but they went while on the phone.  I did buy a MFK700 Basic but called them back to cancel that, I didn't realize it didn't have a systainer or horizontal base which I wanted.  So if you get the last MFK700 you can thank me.
 
From what I understand after speaking to Tom Bellemare, this model was equipped with HEPA filters partway through its life cycle. Therefore, you may get one with HEPA filters if its a later model, or not if its an earlier model. The new MIDI (#584165) has always had HEPA filters.

Chances are it's a later model as the earlier models are more likely to have appeared in previous recon sales.

I'm okay with dealers shipping in their own country, understandable but a Canadian can't buy a US tool as a gift to be shipped to their US friend in NY because the buyers billing address is from CAN?
 
I see a few people got dominos today, great job guys, definitely beat me to the punch, I scored 3 more things today.  It got me thinking, today marked my 9th item from the 40% sale, what are some of you guys getting anyone have a huge number.  Like over 20
