Was that just the first 40% off open till midnight type of thing only though?

I ordered both then and this past weekend.  Hope you find the tools you want.

Sorry if this has already been asked (long thread) but are the Minis and Midis available have the T-LOC and the larger motor or could you possibly get an older version?

Thanks,
Gerald

Make sure to check the Recon item for sale Item number against the website.
Midi's today were popping up in both current and older Item number.
It appears the Mini currently on offer (Item 583360) would be the older one you're looking for. The current Mini Item number shows on the website as 584156.
Hope this helps and I'm by no means an expert but that's my understanding of the way the numbers work.

Best Regards,
Dave

Does anyone know if the older versions are hepa and have the upgraded motor? Is the t-loc the only thing that is missing? Thanks.

Safety1st - See Festoolproducts.com Model 583276 for the specs on the 583376 which is the one I picked up in the sale last week.  Trying not to be too self serving here, but I am regretting the purchase as I could now use the money for other tools.  See the Classifieds section if interested in purchasing.  [wink]

Got my 3 tools today that I ordered last Monday night from Bob Marino. A midi, a 150/5 and a ti15 impact set. All look great a few scuffs on the midi but new filter and bag. The drill and batteries didn't even look used in great shape. The sander most definitely had never been used before in perfect as new shape. Even smelled new, if you know what I mean when I opened up the systainer. Very very happy with my purchases. Thank you Bob and thank you Festool!

Just a quick bit of info on shipping.

We are still shipping orders from Wednesday. As you can imagine, there were a significant number of them to pick, pack and ship from early last week. We should get caught up in the coming days.
Thanks for the update.

As an aside, for those of us that ordered through a local dealer and did not receive any tracking info (the salesman didn't ask for my email address), is there a good way to find out if our shipments are on this "slow list?"  I ordered on Wednesday edit: Tuesday night, assuming that it would take less than a week to arrive (Indiana to TX shipping is usually 2-3 days)... but I'm leaving for vacation on Thursday and the last thing I want is a $600 track saw sitting on my front steps for 6 days while my wife and I browse museums in DC.  Thanks in advance!

You can sign up for UPS MyChoice account which is free and it will show deliveries that are scheduled to be delivered to you.  You can then request that the package be held, delivered to another address or delivered at a later date.  Having them hold the package at the depot is free however they do charge to change the delivery date and or location I think it is $5.  This allows you to see packages without knowing the tracking number.  FedEx has a similar system.

Thanks for the help- I was assuming that the T-LOC type also meant the newer motor and HEPA (which were my concerns) but it sounds like these features were available prior to the T-LOC.  My fault for not wording my question correctly.  At any rate, it looks like the CTs are no longer available but I'll keep watching- I'd like to get one to dedicate to my Kapex and move my CT22 under my MFT-3.  After reading reviews here on the FOG (Thank You to all who have posted information), adding a MINI or MIDI is the best CT for that use.

I believe the CTs are the unsung heroes of Festool's lineup. I used to sneeze heavily while working in the shop- I originally thought is was from allergies until I got my CT22 and noticed I no longer had the issue.  I don't know if they are lifesavers but they certainly make working in the shop more comfortable.

Gerald

well that's pretty cool.  this morning i received an email about a shipment coming my way.  by the price listed it looks like i'm getting an HL850 that i ordered when the 40% recon started.  pleasantly surprised.  i guess it's time to look at the accessories while i'm waiting for it.

did not get the syslite that i ordered but i did not get a notice that i was not getting it either, so who knows.

pretty stoked though.  i can't wait to try it on two projects that i'm getting it for:  one is smoothing out some huge slabs and the other is a small run of parts where i'm going to use it as a mini jointer once i get the stand.  i also can't wait to experiment with the optional deep texturing head.

Got my gear last night! 55 REQ and a CT MINI! All looks good and in working order. Contacted the powers at be of Festool CS on a minor issue. Awesome response and will have it remedied asap! I can already tell that I am going to be a festy junky after this!

Hello Runhard,

I have a CT 48 that I am selling and could ship your way. Its in great shape and will have 3-4 extra bags that would be included. PM me if you are interested.

is there any idea as to why those tracking numbers don't register?

this doesn't bother me but i've notice it happen frequently under these circumstances.

What do you mean "don't register"?

With UPS, if you track a package before it gets to their depot, it will not show anything. So, you need to wait until 6-7pm before it's going to show tracking info.

Funny story…

So last night the packages were actually sitting at the front of my building just out of sight. I was sitting inside hitting "track shipment" time after time on a tracking number that didn't work.

Anyways… Got a T18 set and MFK set that are both in great shape. Really excited.

My 40% off recon TS55EQ arrived today.  Turns out is is the "Plus" model.  The packing list mentioned a "5% recon tool discount" which hints at the idea that this tool would have been sold at 5% off under normal circumstances... and I believe it!  There is absolutely nothing functionally or cosmetically wrong with the saw or anything else that arrived today.  I'm pretty positive that the track is brand new.  The only thing that gives away the fact that this is a recon tool is the tiny amount of dust I found in a couple of crevices, and the very mild wear on the blade.  The formed plastic insert for the systainer does have a cracked corner... not that it hurts anything or bothers me one bit.  The systainer is otherwise in excellent condition, even down to the card in the lid.

well done, Festool!  I'm officially a happy Festool owner.  Oh, and I finally found out what that new-festool-smell is all about.  makes me want to buy another one... subscribed to the mailing list just now :D

Ok, stop refreshing the heck outta my website and subscribe already!  [tongue]

Subscribe for notifications of new tools being added to the recon list.

https://www.festoolusa.com/power-tools/reconditioned/#subscribe

It will send a very rudimentary email that just says there are new tools with a link to the website. Be sure to whitelist "noreply@festoolusa.com" in your spam filter, if needed.

Wow, are we really effecting your server loads?

Is the mispelling on the email address intentional?  "noreplay" or "noreply"

Not really affecting the server enough for it to be a problem, but there's been a lot of traffic. Just trying to make it easier for you guys. If you like the thrill of the hunt, don't subscribe.  [tongue]

And, yes, it was a typo. "noreply@festoolusa.com"

My family is starting to wonder why I'm always on my phone :)
Should I be checking 5pm-8am at all?

Just subscribe, then you won't have to check at all. As I've said before, no new items are added to inventory during non-business hours since it requires human intervention.
