Reconditioned c12

I just received my recon c12 NiCad set in a classic systainer which i paid 200$ for. If your on the fence about getting a festool drill like I was (ive had one in my shopping cart about 6 times!) consider the reconditioned c12 for 30% off.

I went to a brick and mortar and tested a t15 and a CXS and while I felt the T15 was cumbersome and the CXS was too tiny the C12 is just right. Yes just like goldilocks. So if you aren't completely OCD and can have a classic systainer in your stack, and dont mind having an outdated battery you can really get a killer deal.

Id go into more detail about the drill and why i like it if anyone cares but i find myself to be pretty long winded at times so I'll save you that for now.

I agree the C15 feels much heavier as it has a larger battery

love the C12 , great general construction drill.

not like a powerful impact or hammer drill but really pleasant to use when you don't need blasting power

It's just my opinion ya know! It could be 1% heavier but if its right on the cusp of being unwieldy then the 1% could be the kicker.

You beat me to it!  How was the overall condition?  I think it was the only one left because there are no older Ni-Cad drills on the list anymore.

Then i hate to even tell you because its immaculate! We've had Makita drill/impact combos for a while and this makes them look downright silly.

yup if I was going to get a smaller festool drill to compliment my coming purchase of the BHC, PDC drills I'd go with the C12, used here in denmark I've seen them for some very attractrive prices

I actually picked up a C12 (NiMh) not too long ago. I have a complete C12 set up from before.
There are well made third party batteries available now and I bought two new batteries for it for the price of one replacement battery. They are a good fit, darker finish but they work very well.  It turned out that the original batteries I got for it were very good so now I have plenty of batteries for both drills.

I have smoked a T15 and had a C15 develop "electronics issues" repeatedly so I am trusting the classic C12 more than I do the newer ones. I have a C15 and a Ti15 for "heavier work" but as long as the C12 suffices I use them together with a CXS for most applications and I am always happy to use the C12.  [smile]
