Reconditioned tools

hey Mr. Marino,    you start placing orders at 12:01 a.m    right?  [wink]
If you need me to stay up late to make the coffee let me know! [big grin]

Got em' in - without that coffee, but thanks anyhow!

Bob

Any dealers allowing these to be ordered via web site?

The only places I've seen so far are all email or phone orders, and I'm not willing to provide credit card info via either mechanism...

I can't get out right now due to weather and would prefer not to miss out on this due to running out of something before I can get to the store...

Don't worry, you already missed it.  The dealers placed the orders and I'm sure all the tools are long, long gone by now......

I'm so excited!  Did I hit the OF1400 lottery?  I hope so.

To all Festoolean's in Indianapolis - be careful today!  For that matter, everyone that is affected by the weather today, be careful.

There probably 1/2" of ice on the ground at my place, 20 mins from the office. If I was a betting man, I'd say the office will be closed tomorrow. It was pretty hairy just getting home from work at 5:00.

You guys are wimps!

Guys, just a quick note as a courtesy. If you don't already know, we are expecting some potentially really bad weather here in Indy tonight and tomorrow. There's a warning for in excess of one inch of ice in this area. Should that happen, reconditioned tool orders will not ship tomorrow. So, if you're ordering something with the expectation of getting it by a certain date, please plan accordingly.

Everyone is invited to my place for ice skating and curling.  [smile]

What about some ice Rugby in skates, No pads. Now thats a real mans sport. [laughing]

So, what is the time-line for notification of whether an order was accepted or denied?

Just an update... we got about an inch of ice last night. The roads are horrible from what I can see in front of my house. We just started getting MORE ice. So I expect the offices to be closed again tomorrow due to hazardous travel conditions. Orders for reconditioned tools will not be processed until it's safe to travel again. Blame mother nature for the poor timing. Sorry.

Edited for photo.

I'm just glad the crazy storm weather is this week, and not next week when the user training classes are scheduled.

  Sean,

Faxed at 12 am... getting emails and phone  orders from the West Coasters up until 2:30 am - then crashed on my couch!

  Just a few comments here.

1. It's not a question of "allowing" recon orders to be placed on-line. It's a question  of money and time. The skews for the recon tools are all new and would have to be entered and placed on the the web. The promo is for a month only and many of the more popular tools will be gone in a day or so. So all that skew entering would be for nil and have to be removed as soon as tools were out of stock.

2. I can understand not placing cc in an email, but not by phone? Never saw that as a security issue though.

Bob

Definitely never email a credit card number.

Back to weather conditions. Our offices will definitely be closed again tomorrow. My neighbor's kids are ice skating in the middle of our street.  [eek]

Maybe Christian should break out the company dog sled team and come pick everyone up. [big grin]

What in the heck!??   Y'all are Festool, after all.

Just bust out the "Plowex" and the "SnowBlowex" and get Indy cleared up!!   Huh?  NAINA?     [wink]    [tongue]

Festool closed???  I live twenty minutes from you guys... I went to work today...  [poke]

I mean, on a normal day, I could see closing up shop at the sight of a little ice.

BUT NOT ON RECONDITIONED ORDER FULFILLMENT DAY!!!

I know people are anxious about getting there tools, but I respect companies who value the health and welfare of their employees first.

Festool USA rocks in my mind!

Peter

I agree.  Safety first.  I just wanted to makeup some "-ex" tool names.

The Gub-ner here declared a state of emergency and closed State offices to the public.

Ironically, State employees and contractors are apparently a hardier and more clever bunch than "the public"...as it is still a work day.    [blink]

Apparently the word "carbide" is a new one to the people of Indiana! There is ALWAYS a way to get to work!

We had carbide studs on our tires for just these days. Of course working in the oilfield and being required to work no matter what changes one's acceptance of risk. We worked at -44F, on days with 3 feet of snow falling, ice storms, raging blizzards.

No more flimsy excuses Shane.  [poke]

Did we upset the Festool gods?  I rushed home today wishing to have my confirmation email from Uncle Bob.  Now we are all going to be waiting a few extra days praying we don't upset those great tool gods again.

I can imagine how it must be with all the ice out there in Festoolland.  We had CARmaggedon (that's what the news stations called it) last week after getting some ice and snow during rush hour.
