Redneck dust collection (hey, dont knock it till you try it)

[laughing]

That bucket is in danger of catching up with the table saw, what a chase!  ;D ;D

Tell me, it's not only me, that see's the background as speeding past the camera lens while the saw and bucket play kiss chase!  [laughing]
Rob.

Jon, I work with another carpentry fairly often, he has a Bosch 4100 table saw.  On back of the saw right above the dust port there is a hook to store a push stick.  We'd always pull the push stick off and hang a 5 gallon bucket there to catch the dust.  It worked pretty well, that is until someone would knock the bucket off.... Last Christmas I bought he the dust bag for the saw.

Brice:
How does the bag work?
I have the (Bosch bag) too but that thing never works as well as connecting my vacuum up to it.
There is more dust in the chute, on the floor, my pants and in the air than goes in the bag.

Tim, it work okay for 1x stock but it doesn't keep up with 2x material very well.  Still, I think it was worth the price (I picked it up for under $10).

I have that bag for my Bosch 4000. I was disappointed. It fills itself with air rather nicely but once the sawdust starts, it seems that there is too much back-pressure in the bag to actually let the dust in. I thought about modifying the bag.... 4 years ago.. It never got further than the thought and the bag sits in a cabinet.

Brice, I could have reduced that
