I’ve used those. They tend to crumble some of the surrounding plaster. They are also available in plastic, and those would not penetrate the plaster. Pre-drilling worked better with these in plaster. Easy to remove though.
 
Thanks for sharing, could be usefull for removing regular wall anchors. I wasn't sure I even still had one of those bottle openers, (I've been using a funny one with a needle that goes through the cork and you can pump air into the bottle so it pops up from internal pressure :) )
