Removing table saw offcuts safely

Thanks. I have seen a similar set-up, and  it is nice to see it again. I have to move my table saw to a different location in order to use clamps like that. But Derek mentioned about rare earth magnets and that should solve my problem.

The magswitches are great but expensive. I use them on my featherboards.

Are any of you familiar with the Ten Million Dollar Stick from FastCap? I have not ever used it (yet) on the Table Saw but I do use it often when I have small off cut pieces on the Miter Saw. I is pretty cool for under twenty dollars.

I use the 10mn $ stick mostly on the mitre saw, but have found it handy on several occasions when operating the table saw cross-cut sled. Using it to remove offcuts on the table saw is risky as it is no different from any long stick...it could be really nasty if the stick made contact with a spinning blade while in the process of pushing away any offcut.  [scared]

Used it today on my cutting sled. With the use of the stick, I did not need to hold down the stock with double-faced tape.
