Repeatable Cross Cuts for Long Panel with a Track Saw

Thanks for all of the feedback. I was thinking about this some more, and I wondering if it would make more sense for me to use a second MFT instead of the extension wings since I want this mounted on a work surface. It looks like hooking MFTs together is pretty straightforward. Is there also any way to also link fence components together? Or a much longer 3rd party fence that would extend out to the 7 feet or so? I am looking for a much larger dedicated shop space, and whenever that happens, I plan on having a larger dedicated MFT setup, so this approach might be more useful in the long run.
There's a set of Kapex extensions in the Recon queue for $350. Decent price on them IMO. https://www.festoolrecon.com/collections/oneanddone

Totally appreciate the suggestions on saving money; a rare occurrence on a tool forum. One of the primary reasons for looking into this option was to save a lot of my time as well as some money. I am a hobbyist, and the projects I need to knock out comprise roughly 60 linear feet of built-in work between a built-in closet system, an entertainment center wall, and a collection of bookshelves. My initial plan for handling these projects was to just build modules that involved cross cuts short enough to complete with my crosscut sled on my table saw (about 60 inches). After running my designs through open cut list, it became evident very quickly that the modular approach was going to use waaaaay more plywood than if I just made the cases with longer pieces. With some tinkering in Sketchup, for example, it seems like ditching the modules will save roughly 3 sheets on the closet project alone. At 120-150 bucks a sheet, that adds up quickly. Given my limited amount of shop time as a hobbyist, I would also much rather spend 700 bucks on a tool than hours making jigs for cross cuts.

Breaking down panels into accurate parts is difficult and often frustrating work if you aren't used to it. Might be worth putting a cut list together and checking how much a local cabinet shop would charge to blank out, drill and edge band pre-finished material.

They fit, the knob that tightens the plate appears to be a little larger than the on my 120 wings.
You’ll have to shape it a little bit to make it easier to tighten.
