I have a damaged Systainer and would like to find a replacement lid.  Is this something readily available?  On-line?  Thanks.

Here is a screenshot from the electronic parts catalog:

Looks to be the first part in the list.  You can order over the phone by calling Festool USA, or thru a dealer.  You might want to sent an online dealer an email and reference the part number.

Excellent.  Thank you.

Further to Peter's message, bear in mind that the lid does not include the handle, so you'd want to try and swap that bit from the old lid to the new one.

Instead of replacing like-for-like, you may want to consider buying the "Attic" lid and associated items (catch, dividers and transparent organiser lid) instead of the plain lid. See items 20-23 in Peter's diagram.

For these parts numbers, you'll want to go and browse the parts catalogue yourself. Go to http://www.festoolusa.com then click on Support at the top, then choose Parts Catalog (English).

In the menu tree at the left, the item can be found by drilling down Entire Catalogue -> Accessories -> SYSTAINER/SORTAINER -> 494178 SYSTAINER/SORTAINER

I got lazy.

Hey there! There's always a limit on how much time one can spend answering a query before something else needs doing, and my answer was a case in point...

What I really wanted to do was to find an article about how to remove the lid. There's been one somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it's on FOG. It mentions removing that bar (Item 4 in the diagram) and then pushing/pulling the pins out (Item 3). Can you or anyone find it? I'm stripping some paint at the moment, and I'm enjoying it so much (hah hah!) that I really don't have time to do any more looking for this very elusive article...

I believe I am!  [big grin]

Thanks a lot Brice - that's exactly what I was after, and he even talks about the handle too, which I didn't remember about.
