I have been focusing my reviews on the accessories and small things that make life a bit better.

We all have to mark up our materials to cut.  I have used the traditional carpenters pencil for years and years.  Yes they make a sharpener for the oval pencils but I never seem to have it near me when I break a lead. So I end up with my Benchmade knife sharpening it and always on the forth side… I seem to get a bit too aggressive and break the lead off and start over…. The result works but a 10 inch pencil soon is a 4 inch pencil… Okay I need to work on my whittling skills

I have a 1.1 mm pencil that I found that works for a lot of stuff. I have the .5mm pencil for finer marks and we all have other tools for marking.

I saw this Fatboy on the FastCap website when I needed to get to $100 so would get free shipping added this.

I have found the product to work better than I thought it would. The large lead is strong and does not break under normal pressure. The lead will sharpen in any sharper, but I use my FastCap tape measures built in sharpener most. The lead holds up and works on all surfaces…

It has an eraser covered by a screw on cap.  I can’t count the number of times I have had friction caps get lost and end up having the eraser and lead also go away. The Hard case for extra lead is great as it can go in tool bag or pocket and you have leads not dust when you need to replace the lead.

The only down side to this product is never… never… ever loan it to someone….  The one time I did… it almost came to blows to get it back.  I had to order one for the person and they keep asking to use mine till the order came in!

001 The basic pencil comes with the pencil and a hard plastic case that holds 2 leads. This case is what you will never want to lose as it can take work travel and not let the leads get broken.

002 This is the case open and the two leads out.

003 A Great feature of this pencil is that it has an eraser and the cap covering it is screwed on not friction.

004 Order the extra lead with the pencil. It also includes 3 erasers. Not a big thing…as I never make mistakes… but maybe you will need it… Reality is I’m personally looking for a 50 erasers to 3 leads pack
