Hi all,

Here's something really nice, a handmade leather tool roll. Originally it's made/designed to hold a selection of woodworking chisels, screwdrivers and stuff the like. I keep my metric Snap-On combination ratcheting box end wrenches in it.

It's very well made, nice sturdy leather with a great feel to it - perfect for organizing a set of hand tools. In the beginning I wanted this to be my go to tool roll (which is now my Carhartt) but the compartments are to small for pliers, a hammer and stuff like that - so I decided to put my wrenches in instead. (Since I do not, or only very very rarely, work on a car dirt/oil/grease isn't much of a concern to me as it also wouldn't be to a woodworker)

Kind regards,
Oliver

Yes - very nice indeed.  I have made a few tool rolls over the years.  What is in the plastic bag in the far right pocket?

Hi Chris,

in that plastic bag are a couple of Snap-On "short" and "midget" wrenches in very small sizes: 4mm, 5mm, 5,5mm and 6mm.

Sadly I'm not handy enough for leatherwork (tried to make a knife sheath years ago... disaster). It's cool that you can make your own tool rolls!! Got any pictures at hand to show? Would love to see them :)

Oh, and by the way - I visited your Blog a few days ago - very nice work! I especially dig the "push to open"-cabinet and your screwdrivers/bit holder

Kind regards,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,

I haven't made a tool roll out of leather yet, but I have done some in thinner materials, including denim (jeans).  I don't know if I have any pictures of them... I'll have a look.

Thanks for checking out my work. Push To Open is one of my favourites!
