Review of the Festool CC

Matthew,
Once again you have managed to meddle  in a totally innocuous post because you don't like the writer.
I look forward to your demise as the forum administrator and a  return of the first amendment.

Bob, what is this all about?

Frank:

It appears that the photo of the gorilla extending its middle finger upward was removed from Bob's post.

Frank, It appears that my gorilla friend Alf poking fun at me didn't set well with the administrator.
Maybe he is off his feed.
Bob

Thanks for the explanation Bob.  By the way, I liked the gorilla picture when it was present.  But, I view your comments about Matthew as an over-reaction to the removal of the gorilla.

Hey, Bob, if your picture was of a gorilla extending its middle finger that is not appropriate for the forum, in my opinion.

Guys,
Can't we just get on with things? The forum has settled down and we don't need another round of hissy fits.
Bob, I didn't see the picture you posted, but why put a picture of a Gorilla giving "the bird" in a review forum?
On a lighter note, I would suggest Bob that the Festool CC is designed for German use. If you really want a coffee cup, you should try a Festool Holland cup. Those guys reeeeally like their coffee. :)

Regards,

Rob

Rob and Brice if you did not see the original post than you can't comment on the appropriateness of the post.
The gorilla was telling me that I was number one. No one that saw it didn't think it was funny except Matthew.
If all you think it was was a gorilla his finger sticking up you are missing the point. Come on, no one ever told you guys that you were number one.

I thought the picture was that of a certain TV commentator responding to a poem by John Cleese.  Apologies to all gorillas.

Funny! I'm German, living in Canada and used to always find a nice BIG coffee cup holder in any car I'm driving. A little while ago I bought a VW Eurovan and guess what, I doesn't have a cup holder!!! What the heck?  ;D  Overpriced German products, let me tell you ;) :D

Bob, Bob, Bob ... things getting boring elsewhere? Thought you'd add a little conflict back into the forum?

That gesture is inappropriate in many cultures. The moderator was correct to remove it.

No Ron, Read the post, I was thanking Dave for his comments and poking fun at my self.
If you didn't see the original post than don't try to imply that there was any thing other then what was posted.

Many years ago I dated a girl who worked for Volkswagen Canada and she told me the German's did not understand why we wanted cup holders in the car. Their impression was....

- you got up in the morning and read the newspaper with a cup of coffee and THEN you get in your car and drive to work!!! Maybe the commute there is shorter

Never saw the original pic and think a middle finger sticking up would be considered a negative connotation in most places. I think the Moderator would be doing the right thing by removing the pic if that was the case

Bob - love the CC review. Makes me laugh everytime I read it!!!

Not only do we drink coffee in the car but a friend of mine got pulled over and ticketed for eating a bowl of cereal while driving.

Hi Bob,

I think I missed the point too, but that's just me, but I can aslo see why someone might not like to see any picture with the middle finger up. no mater to whom it's aimed at ;) ;D ;).
Anyhow, I am glad I still have a Festool cup or two left - use it every day.

Bob

Guys, please tell me we're not going down this road again. How about some integrity and respect fellas. PLEEAASE?

I had an episode yesterday that attests to the durability of the Festool CC, so I thought I should add something to the review.

I dropped one of my CCs from about 3 metres up on a step ladder to the sidewalk below and the only damage was a chipped rim.  Please don't ask why I was carless enough to have a CC in such a spot in the first place. :-[

Given that my five CCs (all gifts from Bob Marino) are among the most valued items in my shop, I decided to try to fix the damaged one.  I ground down the jagged part using my Festool Deltex 93 sander and it is now safe to use again.
