RO 150 FEQ

I have a new RO 150, when using the tool in random orbit mode the pad wobbles. I also have a RO 125 and when the tool is in random orbit mode the pad rotation is smooth, like it should be, and has been great right out of the box. Is this something that is inherent to the larger sander that will subside after use or should I box it up and return it?  I really would prefer for the problem to not exist but unfortunately it does and the left behind surface is not smooth.  Thanks

Pad wobble is never good. Have you checked the pad is properly seated? If you remove the pad and turn the sander on, does the shaft still wobble?

Oh yeah I’ve removed and replaced the pad several times and tried a hard pad too and the wobble remains. However I did not run the sander without a pad, didn’t think the run-out would be visible. I was hoping someone new some magic words to say over the sander to keep me from sending it back, but unfortunately it will need to be replaced. I appreciate the time for the response.
