Hi guys well, My trusty ro150e has slowly developed a bearing nose and now is getting real hot while sanding. I've removed a few parts and can see play in one of the bearings. Few questions how does the main body come apart? and where can I order new parts for it?

Cheers ,
Niko.

You can order spare parts from Festool Australia. Usually local site has blow out schema, so you'll get idea how to disassemble it.
Another option is send your sander to Festool for service.

Thanks mate, I've located the bad bearing but can't seem to pull the shaft off it?  here's a pic of the cog, bearing is behind it.

Not sure if there is a festool australia??

Niko.

I went looking for the part number for you on the electronic parts catalog, but the diagram portion was not working at that time.  The contact number for Festool Australia is 1800 063 900.  If you give them the model and serial number of your tool they should be able to look up your part number.  There are several model listings for that sander.

PS:  Here is a link to the Australia website:  http://www.festool.com.au/

Part 22 below is a locking ring, try to locate and remove it and see what that does.

Thanks Peter I 'll try them come Monday. Alex, I have that same diagram and that serclip is hidden behind the casing. The front cog must come off first some how.

If the ring does come off and the bearing is still tight put entire piece in a plastic bag and put it in a deep freezer overnight. It should come loose than with a small tap. MARK

The more I look at it the more I'm thinking the cogs been pressed on to the shaft. The bearing is totally ca-put!!

Hi New poster here , just looking through your post and Ive repaired a few different festools for some freinds of mine.
You need to hold the cog by wedging a small piece fo timber in the back of the cog and wrapping a flat blade in cloth and using it to hold the
cog by inserting it in the grooves of the cog. Then grab the armature and turn it anti clockwise and the cog will screw out
Hope that helps
