RO 90 Sander Accessories, Delta

Hello all,

I recently acquired an RO 90 and I"m looking to get a few accessories for it.  Hard pad and a few Delta extended length pads. I'm finding it a bit confusing about the Delta pads.  I'm not sure what I should be ordering.  Some of the options look like you can attach them to the OEM Delta pad or you can purchase other options.  Like I mentioned I"m a bit stuck with what is a replacement pad and what is an accessory.  It's most likely very simple.  I tried viewing YouTube but I could not find a video that was specifically geared toward the Delta pad and accessories.

Modified the post,  I believe I have a better understanding of it now after spending the morning looking at Toolnuts website.  New question, is it possible to purchase the insert for the systainer for the abrasives for the RO 90.  I have an empty Sys 1 and I was thinking this might be a good use of it.

You were correct with your info.  It was very easy to obtain.  $17.00 plus a few dollars for shipping.  But it beats $88.00 for a systainer and the insert.  I've had this sys1 sitting in the shop unused so this will be a good use for it.

I bought two of each insert for the different sanders that I own, trimmed them a little and dropped both into a sys II.  I can keep almost every grit available like this.  When I take my sanders on site...seldom, I drop the sheets I need in with the sander. So, for the RO 90 I have two sys IIs, one for the delta pads and one for the round ones.

I found the delta # 700807...but not the circular.  Best to contact Festool direct.  888-337-8600

When I called Festool today i gave the lady the part number mentioned above and she told me it was 707804.  Hopefully she is sending me the correct item.  She assured me it was.

Hmm, looking at a Festool product list and our list of Systainer inserts, it looks like 700807 to me.  [unsure]

Well I sure hope not because the person at festool then is sending me the wrong item    I gave her the 700804 number and she said I was wrong.

What is 707804?

Well I'll just have to wait and see what shows up at my door.  When I called customer support Eric gave me the 700804 number.  When he transferred me to sales that is when she) I think her name was Julie said it was 707804.  I have to agree 700804 seems to be the correct number

I wasn't aware there were different inserts for 90mm and delta sandpapaers.

I'm going to throw my hat in the 700807 ring.  I'm real curious to see what xxx.804 brings you.

I'm going to go with all of you are correct and I misunderstood Julie.  At least I'm hoping that is the case and I don't end up with a Festool fishing rod holder.  I don't fish......

Well, maybe you're going to something for the old dx93 ?

As I recall, there was an insert for the classic Systainer 1 that held triangle discs only in a flat position.

Think I've seen something for a SYS2 also.  It held the triangles in the vertical. That may have been NAINA though.

The one I have in a T-loc holds both round and delta. It kinda sucks really. If I didn't get it cheap and loaded with Granat sandpaper I wouldn't have bought it.

I haven't seen one like that, but have an extra Sys2 I had planned to convert for housing the RO90 paper in the vertical position. I do keep my RO90 in a Sys3 with the most common paper stored in the bottom. It is a pretty simple project for most anyone to do. Once you have a template of the Systainer bottom you can build inserts fairly quickly.

Well the insert came today and it's the 700807.  The one I was hoping to receive.  Looks like I don't have to take up fishing.  It hold either configuration of paper    Now what is the 700804???
I thought we started this with a 700804?  And then I thought it was 707804 which we now know doesn't exist.  Julie must have said to me 700807 when I told her 700804.  Holy cow the numbers.    Anyways 700807 is the correct insert part number
