Rotex to bullnose tile edges?

Hi.  Can I use a Rotex to put a bullnose edge on some tile (porcelain?)? I have a RO 90.  Is that up to the job, or do I need a different model?

What abrasives, and backing pad would I need?  Any tips for doing this?

It will most probably work. The problem will be making it look correct. Between keeping a nice even edge, there is the issue of surface "texture".

I have done this using the RO 150.  Works great fine for polishing through the grits but I used a grinder with a carbide head to break the edge before using the RO 150.  Be sure to have a spray bottle while polishing and dont get in a hurry........this is a time consuming project since you have to go through 8-10 grits just for polishing alone.

Go to a 'saw cutting' store that sale blades for solid surface companies....they have the sand paper and heads for the grinder.

As others, I would definitely use Jolly. Very time consuming to use sander to bullnose since you have to get the finish rally smooth to match the surface. Also, if in an entrance or other high traffic area, it will be more inclined to chip if it gets whacked with something, (although the jolly will dent if hit really hard.)

I see some pictures of what appears to be a shower.  Are all the edges Jolly?  Would this be appropriate on a tub where I'd have to climb over the edge where this is mounted?

The edges are Jolly.

The top photo is plastic Jolly that matched the tile. Then lower photo is aluminum Jolly.

Jolly comes in many colors and different depths of edge to accomadte different gauge tile. They also have caps and corners. They make it with a bull nose profile that may be best for "climbing" over.

My lovely, clever wife came up with the idea of using the quartz countertop material for the tub deck, and those edges can be finished by the fabricator.  It will look much better than anything I could attempt with tile.
