Router table dust extraction

I put together a nice router cabinet and have a 3.5 hp Milwaukee router I'm planning on semi-permanently mounting in there.  The cabinet is in my smallish basement, which serves as my shop as well as laundry/storage facility.  I don't have any dedicated dust collection setup - all my other tools (except my planer - a dw735) are portable and connect to my Fein Turbo II.

With my OF1400, I just mounted it to a piece of MDF and kept the dust shroud on underneath the table connected to the vacuum.  For routing dadoes and the like, that actually did a pretty good job as long as I left enough room around the bit.  The fence I built has a 2.5" dust port so I'm not as concerned about capturing that. 

I've been pondering what to do in this case as the router definitely can kick up a lot of dust.  To my knowledge, the Milwaukee 5625 doesn't have any provisions for dust collection.  The cleansweep looks like a nice option, but it also seems to rely on a bigger volume of air than the Turbo would provide.

I looked into getting a dust collector but quickly got overwhelmed by the volume of information and choices out there.  I also need to account for not having a lot of circuits in the basement and not planning on staying here for more than another year or so - adding a 20amp circuit is something I'd like to avoid if possible.

Given these parameters, what kind of dust management approaches make the most sense?

I've been using this since Keen started selling them a lot of years age...works great, I use Festool's 488292 CMS Dust Extraction Hose to connected to a 50mm/2 1/4"  vac hose.

Even if your vac does not get every bit out of the cleansweep it will get the fine dust that will put you in the dog house. Then if needed you can always use the vac hose to pull out anything that the vac didn’t pick up on it’s own once you have completed your session. Additionally Grizzly does make two different 1HP dust collectors that only require a 15 amp service.

I mounted the 5625 in a Norm style cabinet and used a 4" main port on a blast gate.  While it worked great with my 3hp cyclone, that 4 " port isn't very effective with my Ridgid Shop vac in my new shop.  I don't know if the same would apply to the dust collection solutions mentioned above.

I now use a 2-1/2 inch hose connected to a dust deputy and then into the shop vac.  It works excellent on the upper port for the fence, but I still would like a higher volume collector for the lower port.  In my current shop, I don't have the luxury of the space or the electrical capacity for a bigger collector at this point.  Depending on the specific type of routing operations that I most often perform, I have found that the above-the-table chip collection gets most of the chips and dust with the shop vac/dust deputy set up .  So depending on your uses, this might be a place to start and see if it is sufficient.

They are the same beast.  I use mine with the original DYI lift, the Bench Dog and PC 7518.  I've had mine for better that 20 years, bought it from Tool Crib long before this new fangled upstart... Amazon bought them.  They attach to the various inserts with velcro and work great.  My self made router table is only closed of three sides and I get very minimal chips not trapped by the vac.

I opted to go with the Keen products solution for the time being.  Install was pretty straightforward, although the plastic sheet did end up needing to be trimmed a bit for the plate to lie flush w/ the table.  For the moment, I'm using a bosch adapter on my fein turbo ii hose to connect it all together. 

I haven't actually used it yet, as I'm disassembling the old kitchen.  Looking forward to having something a bit more evolved than my hole in the mdf approach.  ;D
