Bench Dog has been in the router table business for far longer than any of the others. My self made table with the cast iron lift is at least thirty years old. The lift is built more like an industrial stationary tool because it was originally marketed to small manufacturers that needed multiple stations that did not require a shaper. I bought it from Tool Crib of the North which was bought by
Amazon as one it's first tool supply companies in 1999. When the non compete clause of the acquisition expired, the original Tool Crib folks restarted as Acme Tool.
