Hi everyone - I am hoping someone out there could help on this one ??

I need to replace the carbon brushes on my RTS 400 EQ sander and give it a good clean. There is a youtube video by Desmond Kappon showing how to clean and re-assemble the sander but it does not show how to take it apart.  Does anyone have any guidance on this

Many thanks

Changing the brushes is easy. Just unscrew the two screws on the top and remove it. Then you can see the two brushes in their holders on either side of the armature. Disconnect the wire and pop them out with the holders. And put the new ones in.

If you want to fully disassemble the sander you'll have to start at the bottom and work your way up. Just loosen any screw you can find. BUT - the rubber skirt is clamped under two clamps which you'll have to replace with new ones. The original clamps are clamped in the factory, the new ones come with a screw so you can tighten them yourself.

Here you can find an exploded view drawing of the sander, open the third option "Surface treatment" and locate your sander in the menus below.

Haha thanks !!!

I had worked out the brushes not the bands will leave them for another day
