To me the metric system is much easier. Dividing fractions in anything more than halves is a pain. It's like saying that if our dollars were worth 128 cents, our quarters 32 cents, dimes 16 cents and nickles 8 cents would make it easier to make change. I think the thing that makes it hard for people is when half their tools are in metric and half imperial. Switching back and forth can be a nuisance.
